When you grow up in the ends, there ain't no way in, their ain't no way out, there's jus' the here and now. A beef can come from a million places. It can come from a look, a word, a diss. And when that beef comes to you, you got to stand your ground. Even if that escalates the whole situation.
Sometimes the beef will be between two of your friends and you'll be forced to make a choice. I've always tried not to engage with that. But sometimes you don't have a choice and you get caught up in somet just from being around them.
You become the target because of who you know or where you live. An it ain't about colour, that ain't what matters. It's about your streets, your ends.
It don't matter if you're black, white or asian. What matters is where you live and who your family is. The media will always try and make out we're this or we're that. But they ain't gonna classify me. I ain't white. I'm white other.
